Countryside tours
This is a 3 day long (2 nights) ethnography-based holistic health tourism programme, with accommodation in the settlement of Vasvár, a tiny town in the proximity of Austria in the region of enchanting Transdanubia.
Day 1:
We take the train bound for Szombathely via Győr, a well-preserved Baroque town in North-East Hungary, we stop in Győr for a stroll and lunch, then head South West, arriving in Vasvár early evening, we familiarise with one of the smallest towns of Western Hungary, former county seat
Day 2:
In the morning there is a possibility of yoga (with your mentor-guide), followed by a sensitising walk in nature, visiting the Holy Well: a stop on the Hungarian pilgrimage route called Mary’s Way, dedicated to our country’s patron saint.

Around midday we take a picnic, followed by a presentation of Hungarian folk traditions, monthly festivities and ancient as well as modern healing methods, completed by a forest therapy experience including theme-based stations of natural path. In the afternoon there is free time to discover the area, you can visit the tiny local forest spa or town museum (highly recommended, located in a Dominican monastery: guided tour in costume). The evening will abound in options: shamanic drumming, folk dancing, storytelling, or just a casual chat after a tasty dinner from fresh country ingredients.
Day 3:
We can start off with yoga, a jog in the forest or with a lie-in according to individual needs. After a late breakfast we will take the train on the south bank of Lake Balaton through enchanting Transdanubia, we will see the largest freshwater lake of Central Europe, stopping at the beautiful town of Fonyód, where there is an option for a swim, lunch, a hike to a lookout, and for coffee at the Crypt Villa, a building of love and loss with an amazing terrace. We will head back to the capital city early in the evening energised and suntanned.
